Thermostat replacment...
Hey all, I am going to be installing a new thermostat with my water pump and need some recommendations...

Should I use just a dry gasket?
Gasket and RTV?
RTV only?

Thanks!

Thermostat replacment...
What I use on paper gaskets is Permatex Hylomar gasket dressing. That's the blueish gel.

Thermostat replacment...
I'm a fan of paper gasket and a thin coat of the black Hi Temp RTV.... buy you already knew that.

Cool Thermostat replacment...
Make darn sure TWICE that both the Tstat housing, and the intake surfaces are clean and free from other changes, then spray both sides of the gasket with WD40, CRC, or your favorite silicone spray, and install, next time you change your Tstat it will be a piece of cake!

Thermostat replacment...
Just changed my Thermostat out, used that black Permetex gasket sealnt junt. Works good...
