The drive shaft was issue number 3 i purchased a used drive shaft for a 07 shelby gt 500 wich is what the transmission is for and then it was about 3" short and did not match the corvette rear end so i ordered a matching u joint and drive shaft yoke from dennys drive shafts and a peice of pipe then cut the old end off at the carrier and fabbed in the new parts

Wow, you are not timid about taking on an OEM C4 IFS install. I will be interested to see how this works out for you. Corvettes were designed to have the engine sit back in the chassis fully behind the rack & pinion...these IFSs have presented challenges when installed in non-vette applications. I have a lot of info on C4 IFS/IRS so if you need something feel free to contact me.

Hey Garage Junky,
Just beautiful! I'd be very interested to see how your 6 speed works for you - I'm jealous - we went with an AOD so the girls could drive it too.
You garage is way too organized! I could send my 20 something son Zack over - he could have it looking like a disaster in no time for free.
So this obviously isn't your first restoration - What else do you have lurking in your garage?
