Well I'll pull the brackets off of the truck and put them on the bench with the airbags...sigh
It's a Loadlifter 5000 Ultimate, so I'm sure they screwed up the parts in the box from Loadlifter. I bought it from SDtrucksprings.com, so hopefully they can get me one ASAP.
haha pretty funny...I just filled out the Order Issue form online and at the bottom is a button to click on to submit. It says "Subit Request"...yes, it's missing something also.

Kafn8td,
You might want to split your fill lines to your air bags. When tied together the air will balance out between the 2 bags. Even when going around a corner as your truck leans the air will travel over to the opposite bag. I doubt you would even feel the difference though. I opted to split my bags and ran my schrader valves (fill valves) through my lower license plate holes. I still have the black plastic dealer plates on mine and with the black caps on the valves you don't even notice they're there. My brother on the other hand went for the totally clean look and installed his schrader valves next to the filler neck behind the fuel door. Just food for thought. Sorry to hear about your troubles. I thought only my luck ran like that.

I have not experienced this. But then I doubt I go around corners fast enough to make the truck lean.
Ok, good response from SD Truck Springs this morning. They told me that Load Lifter is a very responsive company...I'll let you know when the missing part shows up.
Well tomorrow will make it 7 days since I found out it was shipped incomplete and 5 since I was told it was shipped to me...
SDTruck Springs is always very polite and cordial when I call, but I still don't have the part.
On Wednesday I was told that it was shipped direct from Load Lifter, UPS and they would send me the tracking #. I did not receive a tracking #.
On Thursday I was told it was shipped USPS from load lifter and it was to arrive today (Thursday) or Friday at the latest and they would send me tracking info. I did not receive tracking info and the package was also a no show.
I checked the mail a little while ago and didn't have a package (I did get a couple of bills though, but I put them back). I called SD Truck Springs and spoke with Amon (it was David the first time and Josh? the second time). Amon assured me the package was in the mail...sigh. He also said that he would send me the tracking info. I explained that the other two guys told me the same thing and I still didn't have that info. He ASSURED me he would send it to me. I'd rather have the missing part than the tracking info to be honest.
The Load Lifter bags look like a good product...at least sitting on my bench. SD Truck Springs was fast to ship my order and there customer service is always nice and polite.
Did you get the updated version? If your kit has four 'L' shaped brackets that get bolted to the platform, you got the older version. The new version has fewer parts and looks like an easier install. I'd say if you got the old version, this might be an opportunity to swap your older version that is missing parts with the newer version.
It's been a little while now, but I received the parts direct for AirLift and finished the install. The actual install is fairly straight forward and other than not doing it on a lift and having to crawl under the truck is pretty painless.
How do they work? Amazing! Very simple to inflate and you can change the ride instantly. My wife said that at 15 lbs unloaded the truck drives and handles better than without them. At 35 pounds with the toy hauler on the receiver and no weight in the back (1,100 lb tongue weight) the truck sits perfectly level. Once I hook up the Blue Ox Sway Pro, you can't tell the trailer is back there. Eliminated any porpoising. Good job Air Lift!
Glad they are working for you! My wife settled on 15 lbs. at empty as being a good setting as well.
Crawling around on the ground was indeed the most difficult part, though I never did get the extra threaded rod of the front part of the passenger side U-bolt cut off. I don't figure it hangs down too low, it hasn't gotten caught on anything yet.
So did you keep your airlines split or did you end up Teeing them together? Where did you put the valve?
Yeah, I kept them split. I ran the lines to the back and out the top mounting holes of the license plate. I have a really nice thick aluminum black frame that has the Shelby Cobra on it that I kept from my '04 Mustang Cobra. Looks pretty slick.
I still have the T to connect them, but I'm not sure I see a need for it. I use my high pressure bicycle pump or the air on the trailer to change pressure.
I have mine at 10 too 15 empty and it is a little better. I put a load control valve in the cab hooked into an onboard compressor but also kept manual fills only put them inside the fill door.
