Quick Question
I have a 1954 ford truck 3 speed manual transmission with 10inch clutch and pressure plate. I bought a 3 speed trans and bell housing with a 11 inch clutch and pressure plate. Can I just swap them. What about input shaft length will they be the same and what size pilot bearing will I need. Any other tips would help.

Unless the "new" trans is from a 53-56, it won't fit. Are these light duty 3-sp's? or Heavy Duty? The 11" clutch was usually used with 4-sp or HD 3-sp. I wouldn't recommend it for normal street use, it's very heavy and pretty clunky compared to a 10".
