Hi i got a 2002 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer and I was wondering if i can do a burnout with the A4WD. If i did a burnout would I break anything with the front end of the truck with the auto 4 wheel drive?
No, you'll be fine. The trick is to power brake it for 4 minutes with the pedal to the floor, turn the steering wheel full left then full right and back to straight as this releases the testosterone in the blinker fluid cavity. Then let off the brakes at exactly 4 minutes 12 seconds and you'll smoke the tires for 127 feet. There is a youtube video of it somewhere.
There's not enough grunt in it to make a 4wd burnout. Even a rear wheel burnout is unlikely on a stock 4.6. Depending on tires of course. I've got the 5.4 3v engine with about 300 hp, and it can do a small burnout in 2wd mode on dry pavement and new tires if I do a regular kick down from standstill in Drive. Anyway, this is not a sports car, it's not made for sporty driving or anything. It's a truck, made for pulling loads.
