idi exhaust brackets?!
help! i bought a walker y pipe and intermediate pipe for my 90 idi. i am missing the insulators and exhaust brackets that go on the frame to hold the pipes up where can i get new ones? also i stripped the 1\1\8 bolt hole for the 4x4 transfer case shift linkage on the side of the transmission. how do i fix that.

At the junk yard.

All you need is something to hold it up. I used a couple spare insulators from another truck, an exhaust clamp from the autoparts store, and a few small pieces of metal to make mine(welded it all together); I just drilled a small hole in the frame and bolted it in place.

i did a hypertech exhaust on a buddys truck that came with all of the brackets
that fit into the factory rubber pieces bolted to the frame.
if you need the frame mounts, shoot me a PM i have a few in my scrap pile thats about to be hauled off.

Yeah you might be as well off to just get some universal hangers. It's not hard to weld something up with a little 3/8" rod if you have access to a welder, and/or just drill a hole in the crossmember and bolt something up.
