This past Saturday afternoon my 15 year old son and I sat down and ordered the truck of my dreams after 6 months of looking and not finding what I was looking for.
He was smiling ear to ear as we ordered a 2016 F350 6.7 CCLB Lariat Ultimate FX4 in Oxford White/Caribou with Adobe int and 3.55 E locker, snow plow prep, fifth wheel/ gooseneck prep, rapid heater, engine block heater, rear heated seats, rubber mats, premium wheels, Upfitter switches, universal garage door, door moldings, chrome side steps, cab lights, and spray in liner.
I don't believe he will ever forget doing that. We are really looking forward to it coming from an 02 Cummins H.O. that was super strong but had problematic front end issues. This is my first Superduty so the 8 to 12 week wait is on and eager for its arrival.
Congrats on the new truck order!!!! I know how if feels I ordered my dream truck Jan. 15 and am now driving it . You will love your new truck !!!! Love the Ultimate lariat features nothing better than push a button and saying climate 75 degrees and it happens. The garage door opener and upfitter switches are a must with fx4 pack and you will love the spray in liner. I have everything you listed and love it except I went with gas Congrats again !!!!
Very cool. Way to go, dad.
I remember going with my dad to the dealership to buy his first new car, a 1968 Country Squire station wagon. He got the biggest engine and a tow package as we were a large family that liked to camp on vacation. I was 10 years old, and still remember his excitement and mine. In time, we made a million memories in that wagon, but I'll always remember his face after the manager approved the financing; pure pride. When the Squire was delivered to our house by the dealer, which they did because the salesmen was an Air Force buddy of my dad's, it was my turn for pride. Back then, back there, neighbors came over to congratulate us on our new car.
Sounds like your son has a long-lasting good memory now, too. And congrats on your new ride!
Thanks guys, I'm really looking forward to the features. I bet you do have some fond memories of your dad and that 68 country squire. It probably had a 390 in it, torque monster. Those are memories that last forever and I believe my son's will too.
