No worries Darin! I still appreciate the input. I was planning on the new wheels and I have a line on a bed. I thought it was all stuff I could do the weekend, but if I have to replace the axle then never mind. But yeah, I am getting tired of it as a DD!!

I've got enough parts here to build a 2wd CCSB. Maybe even a 5spd if that deal I was working on pans out. I'll build it and trade you straight up for Ruby!

I don't know the dimensions, but the frames on the C&C are narrower. Also, the axles are all different lengths. Dually axles are longer than C&C axles. And SRW axles are different still. And, I learned this recently, they do make SRW, (or at least they did) C&C's which have a different length axle too.

You can use the dually axle for a srw. The drw axle is 4" wider than a srw and will cause the srw wheels to stick out about a 1"

Wich would look better than the narrow rear axle vs front that is normal on a 4wd

Yeah, is there a reason for that? I am considering spacers for the rear to get the track width close.

That's it? That's not a big deal. The front hubs are just spacers aren't they? I just did my wheel bearings a few months ago and can't remember.

The front hubs ARE just spacers. Remove them and you're good to go.

I personally would post around and see if you can find someone that wants to do a drw conversion and swap with them. A couple hundred in fuel to travel may be worth it

Yeah Mike, I might do that. I gotta think on it for a few days and really make sure it's what I want to do.

Ever thought of running super singles? They look pretty incredible on dually trucks... Not for everybody but I love em! Just a thought :-)
