Wonder what that #4 footnote means? I've heard that the initial run will not be to the general public in order to assess any issues before broader availability.....

4 – F450/550 Initial order Acceptance, production start up and scheduling is TBD. Superduty scheduling begins on 5/26/16 for KTP and 6/23/16 for OHAP. Superduty production start up date is 7/11/16 for KTP and 08/15/16 for OHAP.

Yeah, sorry about that. I didn't realize the footnotes got cut off. Try this:
You don't think ford will reveal power numbers till July? They released for the chassis so I'm hoping the increase in them reflects the others cause that would put them at over 950lb ft
Seriously - what a conundrum. Order a '16 F250 the way I want for similar money as a '16 F150 or hold out and get the new tech on a '17.
I don't need a SuperDuty....but I sure do want one.
Oh well, that's a whole 'nuther thread.
I'd certainly wait for a 2017 or get a F150. I love my 2009 F150. If a F150 could handle a 15K fifth wheel, I'd certainly get that. The 2016 super duty lacks several nice features of the F150, but the 2017 has the best of both worlds.
I was especially glad to see the boxed frame and that the fuel tank size will increase (4 to 12 gallon increase depending on model - see the ask the engineer category on this site). I'm assuming that means a F350 short bed will have a 38 gallon tank. That saves more than $1K by not having to buy a Titan or Transfer flow tank.
In reality, that's probably what will happen. I found a '16 F250 that I love, optioned out XLT with "everything you need and nothing you don't," but I hate buying like that. I'm one of these guys that rarely does anything without a plan....let alone make a large purchase.
Gotta keep telling myself, hold out and look at the '17s...if the price jump is too much to justify, then order an F150 to my liking when I'm ready. Its too easy to get wrapped up in the 'emotion' of it all.

I just went through about 6 months of serious illness. I come away from that knowing life if short and precious. Don't wait on things to come to you, GET WHAT YOU WANT, NOW.

The problem is this situation is being sure of what one wants. What I truly want is a 2017 now, can't have that though.
In any event, if Ford doesn't get the towing rating on the 350 gasser up as high as the 350 Dodge gasser (the Ford payload is fine as is) I'll buy a Dodge anyway.

Very true words from both of you. My problem is knowing what I want...right now I'm in that waffling stage...I'm like Al Gore in a pair of flip-flops....flip-flopping around like a buffoon trying to decide whether to invent the Internet or an ingenious way to sell light bulbs.
In any event, it would help if I had a 'need'. Right now, fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at life, I don't need a new truck. But, man, do I want one!
