The mail came

My mail came. Along with it, directives from my order to disolve the American Branch, so I can no longer claim to be a Bishop - I have resigned because of reforms in the churches of America that I am forced to affiliate with.

From this time forward, I am either an unemployed priest, or an wandering preacher.

Anyone wanting a preacher with old fashioned values, who will not compromise his beliefs, give me a call.

I should be sad about this, but cannot find the energy to be - I have seen this coming for a long while, and tried to accommodate earlier reforms, with no joy whatsoever. This way, I stick to my principles, and will eventually die knowing I did the right thing, even if I never get to preach again. My travel time just got obliterated, so I get to go camping more often.. What a fortuitous circumstance, I have just bought a camper....

Now I have all this time on my hands, so my post count is about to erupt.

If you can't be true to your own principles what can you be true too.
A Company I once worked for wanted my to send out some information to it's customers that I didn't feel comfortable with. They were claiming certain things about their testing that I could not agree with. When I tlod them that I wouldn't "sign-off" they said I had to or I would nolnger be employed.
I said fine and went to clean out my desk. They then got worried because they couldn't send the information out without my signature (I was a former "Customer" and very trusted by my former colleigues). I explained to them that they created the problem, they could deal with it and if any of the customers asked why I left I would tell them.
I walked out the door and never looked back, I could live with myself and my pricicples.

Hey Theo, im not sure what you preach about...

...but you are always welcome in God's Country. There are lots of people that live in cabins out in the wilderness up here.

Hope you find a pulpit soon.

I, like many others here, believe it is the church's loss. Keep your principals and your faith - the best is yet to come.

It seems like a lot of churches are "reforming" to keep pace with socially acceptable behavior. This bothers me greatly.
Where do you draw the line? I'm glad you drew your line Theo.
Are we headed for the same demise as Soddom and Gamoora?(hope I spelled that right)

If you read the account of Soddom and Gomorrah, you will be worried by the parallel happenings in this country today. The 'sin' that caused such retribution was not so much the homosexuality, but the acceptance of that homosexuality, and it's invasion into the temples. I ponder on that, along with the decree that I refused that ordered me to accept any behavior as ok, and preach that too. If you read more of the Bible, you will notice this too has happened in the past, and the results were not very nice. Mankind is heading towards an abyss that none of us really knows about. Throughout the ages, there has been an accepted 'Theology' be it from the familiar Bible, or from the other, equally commanding religions out there. Throughout the ages, restraint has been the watchword, until now, that is. Man now has nothing to guide him through the personal stuff. He has laws, that hasn't changed, but he no longer has the comfort of a Supreme Being to comfort him when he thinks alone. That is a loss that mankind should not have to suffer, because all Theistic Religions promise the love of a Being, Omnipotent and Forgiving, Who is now being pushed out, in favor of a watered down version. It is coming, this time of the unthinkable, and in most Churches throughout the land - a new ideal, what can and cannot be preached is, RIGHT NOW, being agreed upon by church leaders. I was to have been there, but only if I promised to be good. Yeah right. The nay sayers have been gagged, by litigation, that insipid cancer that should have no place in the Church, and the fools who rule, and don't know God, think they can benefit from a toned down message, that means NOTHING.

A great physician, in the 30's, who was so great I forgot his name, , said that the time would come when the masses would be their own physician. meaning we would all know how to heal ourselves. Now I believe there will come a time, and soon, when we will all be our own priest, in our own Church, because people are going to notice the changes forced on ALL churches over the next few years. A time of Religious hatred is upon us, when each faith insists it is better than the next, and athiests, who have no place in governing Churches, are putting forward ideas that force atheism onto the faithful..

Beware, my friends, look really carefully at what is now, and make sure it gets no worse.

Theo
