Looking for pics of dentside rear axle under bumpside trucks- 2wd

My '68 F100 2wd has been in our family since I was about 4 months old...I'm a '68 model too.

I can't remember how old I was when I first noticed that the rear track wasn't as wide as the front, but it's bugged me ever since.

Do any of you have any pics you can post of 2wd bumpsides with the wider dentside rear axle mounted under them?

Mine is a short bed, but I'd love to see long beds set up like this too.

When I started driving this truck at 15, I ran 7" rims on the front and 8" rims on the rear. I'd like to be able to to run the same width rims on both ends without it looking obvious to me that the rear axle is narrow.

Thanks!
Mitch

If you want the Dent axle, you are going to have to move the spring pads in to match the bump's 33 1/2" frame width from the Dent's 37 1/2" width.

Roger that. Not a problem. I'd just like to see some pics to mull over.

Mike's 68 F100 is working on putting a '78 F100/F150 9-inch rear end under his truck. He has some dimensions on the location for the perches in his thread.

Dang good thread right there. Thanks for linking me to it.

My old truck was my daily driver from '83 til around '98. It has sat from '99 this past Christmas. Gonna fix her up one more time!

Got a set of '95 F150 chrome wheels from my brother's truck on it now. I'd really like to swap that rear axle for the wider one...one of these days.

SWEET! Lookin' forward to it.

Here is mine as of yesterday. Still working out a lot of little bugs from sitting up so long.

If those rear wheels weren't tucked so far under the fender, I'd be fine with this rim / tire combo.

I have a dentside rear end under my truck. With 15x8 (4" backspacing) wheels, and 275/60 tires. The tires barely fit inside the outside fender lip.

I would like to have the wheels out a little further as well...Has anyone tried running some wheel spacers? I have a set of stock aluminum rims from a late 80s early 90s
