Just want everyone to know that I'm dying in this heat wave in southern Spain. This place has been a frying pan for two weeks and they are predicting 10 more day of this. 95 to 105 everyday and my truck has no A/C. I'm sweating like a priest in boys camp! I'm catholic so don't jump on the bandwagon...
I had relatives over from Italy for the last week, it was 20 C and they were freezing! It was about 10C at the Glacier, and they didn't want to get out of the car.
Apparently the average daily ie 24hr temp is 35C (95F), that means daytime highs in the 40's (well over 100F), and lows in the high 20's/low 30's. Humidity is generally around 75-80%, often higher! To top it off, no one has air conditioning!!!!
I think I would quite literally die if I you dropped me off there right now. My comfort range is about -20 to 20C.
I know, I know, someone somewhere has it worse. No one likes it this hot! To top it off there is a constant hot wind and the dust just get into everything, I could wash my car and truck daily!
My girlfriend lives in England, about 50 miles northeast of London. She said she has been living in a kiddie pool out in her back yard...lol
From what she says the average summer in Britian temp is around 65-70. It is considered hot at 80. I told her "If she wants to live in Indiana she better get used to it."
What really is bad is most there don't have air conditioning!
France has reported approximately 3000 deaths related to the heat wave in Europe. That heat wave consists of about 2-3 weeks of daytime temps of 30-40C. (86-104F)
I live in Northeast Texas near Texarkana. It's so hot here that I saw a dog chasing a squirrel and they both were walking. And it's dry, too. All the fish around here have ticks on them.
Big orn....you got that right...I'm in San Angelo...you know the oasis right before the desert...water is quickly going down...most of our lakes are 3-4% full and evaporating quickly. for the last 2 wks it has been over 100. several times last week we were at 106-108. Luckily, we are dry heat...not nearly as much humidity as up your way. Just stinkin hot! Luckily yesterday and today we've had a cold front or something and not made it past the mid 90s. ahh...you gotta love summer time and the AC never kicking off
Were feeling the heat in Ohio too. Humidity ain't too great either. As of 153 pm est it is 88 F (feels like 92 F) with 55% humidity. I know it's hotter elsewhere, but this is OHIO!
Just read on msn that France may have as many as 3,000 deaths related to heat.
Now I aint to fond of the damn French, but I wouldn't wish that on any country in the world.
Gots to be hot!
