So I've been having a problem with my washer fluid only spraying some of the time. It seems to be completely random as to when it does or doesn't spray.
I have tested both the pump and connector separately and they both seem to be working fine. I put everything back together and it worked fine for a few days, then suddenly stopped working, then it worked for awhile, and now it doesn't work again.
I've checked the lines and they are not clogged or kinked either. Could it be a problem with the switch?
Ive got a 96 and a 97. I have this problem on both of them occasionally. It seems that the contacts in the switch either get a little dirty or corroded. I have been able to bring both of them around a couple of times by just repeatedly and rapidly cycling the switch.
My '96 has the 'works/no works' issue also. I push in on the wiper stalk, you can hear a 'click' behind the glove box. Wipers work fine, juice box level good, new pump, just erratic spritz. (I carry spray bottle now.)

How does the spray bottle method work going around I-695?
I only use the spray bottle when stopped. Law of physics derails the functionality of the bottle vs. the wind at 70mph and notable headwind. Also tossed around the idea of 'tear-offs' with a few friends and beers... (No litterin')

Sounds like a ground issue or broken wire somewhere that intermittently makes contact

It's about 50 bucks for a new blinker switch assembly
Do the wipers come on as if it was spraying but no spray or nothing at all
The wipers come on everytime, just the fluid does not spray

That was my next step, was going to take it apart and either clean it or replace the switch.

You might have someone hold the washer switch in while you move the wires around under the hood.
I put a test light on the connector and had someone inside hit the switch and it had power to the connector. I also tested the pump by running a ground and power wire directly to the pump and it spun fine.

It hasn't been cold enough for it to freeze since I use the cold weather fluid for -20 degrees.

It is driving me nuts. Especially since it's late winter and cars throw up all kind of slop off the road.
When mine was doing that it turned out to be some corrosion on motor connections. Also had a lot of crud in motor/pump, sometimes it would work & sometimes not. Replaced motor & it's worked fine last couple years
