Unhappy HPOP problem, please help

Just put in a new HPOP, from the dealer, in my truck. I had to replace the old HPOP because when I air tested my system, I had air coming out of the turbo oil supply tube hole that is located on top of the oil cooler. I was tolled that my old HPOP had failed. Before putting it all back together, I air tested my system and no air came out of the turbo oil supply tube hole that is located on top of the oil cooler and I found no leaks. Tried stating it, once I put it back together, and oil pressure only reach 370, then it would go down to 344. It would go up and down staying at that range. So I started to take it apart to air test again. I took the passenger side of first and tested it. I had no leaks in the injectors, dummy plug or stand pipe. But I was hearing a loud noise inside the block again. So before taking the driver side of, I took the turbo oil supply tube off to make sure that it was not leaking from there again. Put air in the system and it leaked again from the turbo oil supply tube hole. All my air pressure is escaping through there and I cant do a correct air test on my system. I cant develop enough pressure to check for leaks. Did my HPOP fail again? Or am I doing something wrong? Is this normal? . Please help. Thanking you in advance,

You would not be the first one to get a bad rebuilt part. Check all your pump. Are you air testing in the IPR port, or in the ICP sensor?

Also if you are testing through the ICP are you commanding the IPR closed?

How do I check my pump. Can I get it tested?
I air test my system though the oil rail, but no though the ICP. I don't test it though the ICP because that can have a leak there too.
Is there a difference testing between the IPR port and the ICP port.
The problem still is that I can't air test my system until I fix my HPOP leak. Isn't the system a close system. So if I add air pressure to the system, should it not retain it? And if it is leaking from the turbo oil supply hole, dose that not mean that my HPOP failed? Any info would help.

The IPR port is where the IPR is located , so if you have the correct adapter you can test there, the only advantage is that, at least the one I have you don't have to command the IPR closed as the adapter simulates a closed IPR. Other than that testing from the ICP or the oil rail works as long as you command the IPR closed, if you don't the system is not closed as the IPR dumps pressure back to the oil gallery.

You will need to command the IPR closed or the air will leak into the crank case.

I think that when I put air pressure in the oil rails, the pressure is going back to where the oil cooler sits. I am going to try putting air pressure through the IPR. If it works the way it has been suggested and how it think it should work, I should get no air pressure back to the oil cooler. Then my system will be closed and I will be able to check for the leak that my system has. And once again, thank you guys for all the help. Hopefully this will help me find my leak.

testing thru the IPR should have zero leaks for a good test.
