93 7.3L IDIT Swap for Powerstroke?
Hey Guys,
I have a 92 F-350 with a 7.3L IDI Turbo engine that's packed it in and I'd like to replace the engine with similar power plant or a later model 94+ Powerstroke.
Do I have to change-out the ECM & Engine Wiring Harness in order to use a later model 94+ Powerstroke and is it a drop-in replacement for 7.3 IDI Turbo?

You do not need the whole harness, just certain wires. I am currently swapping a 7.3 and got the harness narrowed down to the minimum. Just enough for it to run with a tuner. If you want to know what I did I can post my diagram to help you out. Also a Manual has a lot less wiring than the automatic and pushed me in that direction. The only problem is harnesses themselves are hard to find.
