Undercab heat shields

Undercab heat shields
Can anyone who has replaced the heat shields riveted to the underside of the cab above the exhaust confirm that it's as simple as removing the rear cat, drilling out what's left of the rivets (mine are gone and the shields are hanging and rattling), and installing new pop rivets from below?
