My 2011 f-350 6.2l cold starts hard, it cranks through 2 cycles sometimes before it fires, then it might stall. Sometimes it stalls if I put it into drive or reverse before its warmed up. It has also misfired on one or several cylinders during startup. It has also misfired while driving. It has never stalled when driving. I have replaced the canister purge valve, I have done a full tune up with all factory plugs. All with no change to how it starts. My next step is a Pcv valve, I have one coming from ford today. If anyone has had the same problem and has fixed it please let me know.

Reason: Thread started with question from previous thread
Did you ever find out what was causing it to stall at cold start. My 2011 f-350 6.2l has been doing the same thing for a long time. I have replaced the canister purge valve, I have done a full tune up-all factory plugs, I have replaced my cats, I have got a custom tune from 5 star. All with no change to how it starts. Mine cranks forever before it fires, sometimes it cycles 2 times before it will fire. Then it might stall it might not or I put it in reverse to leave and then it will stall. My next step is a Pcv valve, I have one coming from ford today. But if you have fixed yours please let me know!
I'm splitting this off into its own thread since it's a completely different issue than the OP here had.
I'd suggest reverting back to stock for troubleshooting purposes, sometimes a tune can make things harder to track down. Are there any codes present at all? Not all scanners will read pending or manufacturer specific codes.

I am hoping a new Pcv valve will help my cold starting issues/stalling issues
Tom, my post was specific to cold starting problems. I don't think it needs a different post. I was asking the previous poster to let me know what he came up with.
He posted his solution, it was the canister purge valve. Did you not read the thread? His symptoms were also different than yours. This was probably the post you missed in his thread:

Picked up my truck from CarMax today, they replaced the canister purge valve. No more low idle or stalling.

Probably shouldn't be going back and forth about this, but I'm bored this morning.
You were asking him what fixed his problem, but he already posted the solution, you just didn't read it. His issue was almost a year ago, and I don't think he's been back since. His issue presented differently, as he never had problems getting started, and his solution was one that you have already tried. I'm trying to help you out by getting your issue in front of people without being confused for something it's not.
