I'm considering buying a F250 supercab (gasser w/ 6.5' bed) and installing a popup Four Wheel Camper (Hawk). How much of a hassle is it to remove the camper? Also, I would like to place the camper on dollies and store it in my garage, if possible?
I'm also considering a mid roof Ford Transit van and building it into a basic camper, the only down side to a van is it's too tall to fit in my garage.
The camper use will be for 1 or 2 people, and the vehicle will be my daily driver (retired), any comments/experience is appreciated.

Is this popup going to be a slide-in or a trailer? I'm confused because you said it was four wheeled.
Most slide-in campers are heavy and can easily exceed the cargo capacity of an F-250. In that case, consider and F-350 instead and be sure you get the Camper Package which will add the rear sway bar. A long bed (crew cab?) will give you the added benefit of the 48 gallon fuel tank.

My pickup and a 1997 Lance 880 is in the front getting together with other Ford owners for a weekend at an abandoned USAF Base in Eastern Oregon. This Lance is now at an RV lot on consignment.
Group of Fords and their slide ins. My Pickup and Lance is nose on to the U-Haul.
This is the 'new to us' 2005 Alpenlite we have replaced the Lance with in May 2017. Cottonwood Campground at an old Cattle Ranch on the John Day River in Eastern Oregon.
Salt Creek Falls on Hwy 58, Willamette Pass in the Cascades on our way to Diamond Lake.
