Mirror upgrade

Guys sorry if this has been addressed before, and I appreciate anyone that's gone before me to provide the R&D on this... Has anyone been able to buy the 08+ mirrors (cheaper set ~$200) off of eBay and had success in all electric functions out of the box? Or... Is there a way to get into the mirror and replace the wiring itself with the harness from our factory mirrors? I've got the stock 2005 tow mirrors on my Ex, and bought a set like I mentioned above. I'm sorta impatient and want to make the ones I received work if I can. Thanks!

DEDC are the cheap eBay mirrors I have in the 08 style. Not one issue with function of any of the wiring for me. They are good for the price

The harness included with the mirrors I got doesn't plug into my vehicle harness. My Ex is a Limited with heated glass and memory function. I can lose those 2 functions as I live in Texas, but would like at least power adjustable.

Would you mind telling how you accomplished this? I'd really appreciate it!

Yes the ones I got had full function, heat, signals, and marker lights. On my old ex I had to wire in for the markers, but everything else was good. On my F250, I had to wire heat, markers, and signals in...

I did this on a 2002. Only difference is 2002 has turn signal wire already. I needed to add the wire for running lights (I tapped it from behind the main light switch, I think it was the brown wire). And if you get it from 1AAuto it includes the wiring, harnesses and switch for the power fold so it's plug and play. Just pull off the door panels and run the switch to your location of choice. Then tap it off of something for power or use the included add-a-fuse thing-a-ma-bob. Also, I think the 2000 has an older style connector for the main mirror wiring harness but I'm pretty sure it came with an adapter for it in the box. It's really not that big of a job, took me an hour or two.

Easiest place I found to tap for signals is behind the cluster. The wires that go to the signal indicators. I can't remember off hand what color the wires are though.

I've been searching for a couple of hours, and I can't find a correct mirror plug diagram for an 08+ truck. I'm wanting to cut my factory plug off my mirrors and splice to the mirrors I bought on ebay. FWIW I got power, heat, signal mirrors. Thanks.
