Cams
I am just curious what is a cam? what would it do to my truck...how much does it cost to upgrade....and is it a noticeable upgrade?

The cam(camshaft) has lobes on it which open and close the valves in the heads. Larger cams let more air and fuel into the engine, but usually raise the powerband rpm. I just rear an article on a bullitt Mustang that HotRod did a cam swap in, and for all of the work involved( 2 cams, one in each head) they got 17hp but lost 11lb/ft of torque.
I would stick with the stock cams to keep all of the torque that you can. This is what pulls the truck.
