Timing chain noise and stalling

Timing chain noise and stalling
Have a 2006 Ford F150 4X4 5.4 vin 5.
Sometimes it will make noise like timing chain is slapping and then stall, happens most at low rpm and in gear D and R .
When it first started would lose comm to PCM.
Change pcm not losing comm to pcm any more, but still doing same thing.
No codes, oil pressure hot at idle 30psi and 60psi at 2000 rpm.
Any help please.

Your phasers are losing oil pressure and causing the stall. It may be a combination of things. The new vct solenoid should help. You likely are losing some oil pressure from blown time chain tensioner gaskets. You may have wear on the chains and guides. You could also have worn camshafts and journals. Only way to tell is to tear it down. That being said you could do a phaser delete that would most likely rectify the problem.
