94 F150 5.0, Holley Systemmax intake/Mustang Throttle body???

I've got a 94 f150 5.0, it currently has long tubes and true duals with an off road x-pipe, E303 cam and matching valve springs, new pushrods and lifters, timing chains and gears. I'm basically looking for a good intake manifold, I've seen the Edlebrock and heard of people doing the Holley Systemmax upper intake swap, what're thoughts?

Thanks,
Logan

With the mass-air setup, he should be fine.

This cam would be much better suited for use in a truck than the E303. The stock heads do not flow much beyond .500" lift so you will be losing out a bit on the return for your dollar. But the low end will return with this cam.

The truck 5L EFI intake is a nice piece, I would keep it.

I forgot to mention that I've got the Gt40's off of an explorer too lol. Sorry, terrible at explaining what I have.

GT40s are definitely a step in the right direction. I would definitely go with the Comp cam, keep the 5L EFI truck intake then budget for a custom tune to get the most out of the investment.

the letter cams do not have the torque range and power band needed to move such a large vehicle . the gt40 heads are a great improvement , the p heads are a pia, I have them currently and have a constant misfire on #4 because I cant keep a plug wire on it without it burning off. in the 96 5.8 I am running a comp 35-510-8 , with 1.7 roller rockers with a performer efi and the dual 61 mm t/b gt40p heads, shorty headers and the k& n intake setup , my truck is a 4x4 supercab short box with 3.73 gears and turning 305/65/16 lt's .

to add a little more fire to the story my truck, when it was running right, my coworkers 99ish z3 convertible could barley keep up with the truck

I really wouldn't worry about the cam if the truck runs fine. If takes off without ******* it until it gets up on the revs, it's fine.
