Best String Trimmer

My mom bought a weedeater brand trimmer, pure crap. We had it about 6 months and the ring broke and got jammed in the exhaust port. I pulled her apart and tacked the ring in a different location, and she still ran, but didnt have the compression she needed. The piston is now hanging from my graduation tassel in the rear view.

Best String Trimmer

Im running an echo that has been in my family since who knows when. I remember using it when my grandpa was alive and well. and he passed away in 89... So its seen its better days, but still cuts and runs well.
I have a John Deere weedeater at the moment also (My mother bought it along w/ a JD lawnmower) I haven't had any problems out of them, but I still stick w/ my Echo weedeater Very dependable

Best String Trimmer

I have been in the landscaping business for 15 years now, I cut 110 lawns a week on average. I go through 5 spools of weed eater string a season on average. (alot of fences). The best weed eaters on the market are Red Max's and Echo's. Though Honda makes a good four cycle weed eater it is too heavy for my usage (all day). I have two red max trimmers that are both 10 years old. They start on the first pull everyday. They have had spark plugs changed and new clutches every other year (wear and tear items) The bump heads wear out after three seasons. But you have to remember I cut more grass in one week then most people do in 4 years. Red max maybe expensive but they will outlast everything, except maybe the Echo's. They are very good also, it's just that I haven't had them as long as the red Max's. As for Chain saw's nothing matches the Stihl.
