Here you go guys just picked her up this morning but this is for my wife. She don't have an account on here yet lol so I decided to post the photo for her.
It is 2000 V10 4x4 Limited Edition pretty clean overall has some miles on her but she runs amazing and mechanically sound.
Rust free of course since it is a California truck. Spent most of the morning detailing her interior was a little more than desired of dirty filth and don't want to put kids in until done, so didn't get time to really wash outside but here is a photo just after I rinsed her. More to follow .
I'm no virgin when it comes to the Excursions. Our first was a 6.0 but she suffered from the notorious issues they have and at the time I didn't have the money or knowledge to fix her.
Our next one was recently sold almost a year ago another 2000 V10 lifted with 35" but not limited and we sold it due to my mother was terminally ill with cancer and we needed money to travel across country in short notice to see her before her passing.
So this one stays and your right she and the kids are safe and they give me back my 2005 F350 you can see in background of photo. Those of you who know me know that truck and another I was working on my 1994 F350 CC LB. Anyone interested the 1994 is going up for sale PM for anyone interested you can check my build in the older truck sections.
Looks great and no rust on a 16 year old buggy is awesome, you wouldn't find that here in the North East! (I think technically I'm in the Mid-Atlantic but they still salt the roads here!).
Thanks everyone, yes finally we got one that isn't white lol . My wife was and is in shock and super excited. I think Tuesday we will gave her a good ol hand wax to shine up that 16 year old pain job.
That black and tan does look really nice it does have some oxidation thanks to the California sun. Certainly better than having salt eating away turning into cancer.
Now I also need to get some regular PM on her like fresh oil change and a good motorcraft filter. The worse will be finding out how old the plugs are especially when they are notorious at this year for problems with those. I hope I don't have issues getting old ones out. She runs good has a flow master exhaust on it doesn't seem to be lacking power would you all suggest just leaving plugs alone until I notice any issues? She does have 173k miles on her but for age, shine, and runs fantastic with smooth shifts I got a great deal on it and 4x4 that works
Ford recommends 100k intervals on the plugs. Personally I will be doing them at 50k. I purchased my 99 F250 V10 with 126k and changed what was probably the originals or at least 8+ years old.

WE3ZS,
Thanks for sharing that, I did see that thread yesterday I believe. My only question is I don't have issues with it and it runs great. The monitor on headliner says 10 mpg but I will defiantly need to calculate actual and not rely on that one.
Plus I have no way of knowing if they were changed so I'm leaning towards just getting it done but if it does run great and MPG are great then I might as well just leave it alone. I don't at this given moment want to open up a can of worms but at the same time I would feel better on fixing something now instead of having more issues later. Up in the air on this one folks but I do appreciate your feed back.
