Failed timing test
Used my code reader on my 94 302 auto with stock internals and ran the timing test and it failed. The instructions say to set base timing and then run Koer and after last test is complete the reader advances timing 20* for two minutes meaning I should see 30*. Timing never moved, and this was with the spout removed. At the two minute mark the motor stumbled and then returned to a smooth idle indicating to me that it did perform the test. I've only had the truck a year and I'm sure it's the original distributor and has 146,000 miles on it. Electrical connections looked good. Is there something else I can try?
