I can't help on the thread size but it takes 4 total of those nuts. I just took my radio out 2 days ago and I had 2 on the back side of the bezel and 2 on the front of the bezel to keep it tight you could stack washers on the back side if needed if you only have 2 nuts.
Are there any radio shacks left? All ours around me closed there doors last year. But I think I saw some nuts like this in them type of stores maybe for cable lines?
We still have some here in WA, not as many. I think they lost their nuts.
I think to the internet. There is one close to me. They used to carry the techy electrical stuff or other electrical things you couldn't find anywhere else. Now found on the net.
