Oil temp?

Just replaced the long block in my 6.0 (used) now I have a question about eot/ect deltas. I read 15deg is the magic number however crusing down the highway I am seeing ect at 195 and eot is 220-225. I realize i am still in the safezone but before the truck went in the shop my deltas were always within range.

I am running an egr delete, new therm and bpd water pump. Also have a hot tune but keep in mind this is crusing 75mph down the highway, no towing. Egts @800

Thanks guys

try running the truck at 65mph for 15 minutes, flat ground, no tow and see where you come out.... that is the test criteria.

EGR delete, your safe but towing would probably not be and really at that point, I'd be considering an oil cooler. Run the test from above before sweating to much.

"Hot tune" and no studs isn't a good combo.
Also, for the test, put it back to stock instead of the hot tune. The tune may throw off the numbers.

The AirDog lift pump can do 75psi... the regulated return and Fuelab regulator are working against each other and the pump.

Nice list of mods.... now you need an FICM tune to go with that "hot tune".
Will surprise you what the Atlas will do paired with some hot tunes!

Will a ficm flash really make that much difference if you're already tuning the pcm?

I prefer FICM flash over a PCM flash, but that's just me. I feel you get better mileage that way on the highway. Around town now that's a different story, the gloves are off on that one. I live around a lot of self centered people in HIGH end cars.......I can't resist. LOL

For me... it increased my MPG by almost 2mpg and I have 0 lag now. I'm running the Gear Head SLR+ Extreme race tune and Atlas 40 tunes.... but you'd better have a build that allows you to run it. The PCM fuels heavy already, then the additional requirements of the Atlas are added to it.

Im running the looney wild tune currently. Looking into mapping on a dyno to fine tune it. Might give gearheads extreme a try

Is this something that couldve be shop error? Ect/eot deltas were not an issue when i dropped it off, then driving it home theres a 25deg difference.

If they flushed the coolant with any chemicals, yes. If they gave you someone else's junk, yes. But to go that deep and not go with a new cooler... was a risk in my opinion.
