Thinking about purchasing a Flowmaster Force II Performance Exhaust System to replace factory setup on my 2009 F250 V10 . Comes with the 50 HD Series Muffler . Claims better fuel economy and performance . Would like to hear from someone who has purchased this system and what kind of performance/fuel economy they experienced prior to spending several dollars .
Unless your current exhaust is rusted up pretty bad I would just buy the Flowmaster 50HD or Big Block or Big Block II muffler for your truck and add an exhaust tip. Flowmaster offers their mufflers in stainless steel now and I would recommend going with stainless. Measure your inlet and outlet diameter on your current exhaust. Usually our trucks use a single in single out offset muffler.
your exhaust is 3" already, you will see very little if any fuel economy, and maybe a slight bit of performance, just change the muffler. A tuner such as the 5 star tuning is the single biggest performance improvement on our trucks, its like night and day. I dread when I have to remove the tune to get a smog every two years, its like I threw 1500 lbs in the bed in the stock tune vs 5 star.
Thanks for the positive comment rdinmv. The benefit of getting a programmer is that the programmer will also make any other bolt-on part work to its full potential as long as the tune is updated.
