I just put in a new pcv valve on my truck and am having a hard time finding the elbow that attaches to the top of the valve to the main line.... the old one dry rotted. Ford won't sell just the elbow, only the whole line assembly. I went to both NAPA & Advanced Auto Parts and they both had a Dorman brand part #46022. I can't get the elbow to fit over the pcv. The back of the box says it'll fit Ford, 5.4 litre but doesn't say F-150. If you go to the Dorman website and put in specifics it says it's not made to fit my truck. Does anyone know of a valid part number of a pcv elbow that will work for my truck? All input is greatly appreciated

 

The Dorman elbow is for the connection around back, not at the PCV valve. You might be able to "make" a new one out of rubber hoses and some adapters.

Just buy the whole hose assembly with a Motorcraft valve, it's the easiest way. Around $50 or so.

 

I replaced my elbo with a loop of 3/8 fuel line, not as pretty but works perfectly and will last the rest of its life.

 

Thanks for responding... I did replace the valve with a motorcraft. And I believe upon your suggestion, I'm going to make an elbow with maybe some new fuel line. I believe 3/8 inch might work. The main pcv/line assy. is working fine. Thanks again.
