So, I bought an 85 f150 explorer 302 Windsor with dual tanks, efi... The guy said it had been sitting for a while, and doesn't start(really wants to tho). It cranks, and almost started a few times. I replaced the distributor cap just because it was dirty, and the starter solenoid relay. I'm thinking it's the fuel pump, because it doesn't seem to be getting any fuel...where's it at? Also I checked the fuel filter and replaced it... Any other ideas?
Fuel pump would be electric in the tank. Can you hear it running when you turn on the key? Check the connections etc.
Also, pull your distributor cap and rotate the engine by hand. Reverse rotation and note how many degrees of crank rotation you get before the rotor moves. If you get much, it would indicate a worn timing set, which can give you difficult starting as the timing is affected by the slack in the worn chain.

All I hear is a buzz located towards the front left fender, which goes off after a few seconds... do you think it could just be the lines? Because yesterday I unplugged the lines going to the filter, turned the key, and nothing came out of either tank (gas in both).
