Yesterday I took serpentine belt off again and cleaned all pulleys real good with a toothbrush and some carb cleaner and washed belt again.
This morning I started it up at 18 degrees and no noise. Got my fingers crossed!
I heard it briefly come on as I was backing out the other day. Was a warmer morning this time, 40-45 or so also. Much quieter on the warm day though. barely noticeable.
In the cold, sometimes the noise wouldn't even start till the engine was already running for minute.. Just another clue.

Thx MadWolf. I noticed mine making the noise more when it's real cold also. I was going to leave it at the dealer last night but they were too busy. They wouldn't have heard anything this morning and they would have told me everything is fine. I spray a lot of fluid film under my truck. I'm thinking some got on the belt and pulleys.
