Recently our trusty 94 Explorer XLT start gradually overheating.
Yesterday it went ballistically hot! I had to shut it down several times to get it home to avoid damage and let it cool down...luckily I was only 3 miles from home. The fan is happily spinning away, coolant is at acceptable level, belts are okay, there is no detectable seepage from water pump. On observation of coolant in filler neck of rad. the level comes up at just about right time water temp wise. but engine gets hotter and with cap on eventually overflow into res.
engine defininately will destruct!
Any guesses?
