Have had a new set of 285/65/20 ko2's now for about 3 weeks and all I can say is wow!! What a huge improvement over my stock tires. The truck just feels more solid and the slipping even in dry weather at take off is gone!! I would highly recommend these for the superduty.
I was really debating between the BFG KO2's, and the Goodyear Duratrac's a couple months ago. Heard great things about both tires, and decided going with the Duratracs because I got some good reviews from family members that had them on their Super Dutys.
Only reason I didn't go with the BFG's was because they looked like they would collect every rock on my road and driveway and chip and damage everything.
I installed 265/70R17E TA KO2s in November. So far they have been great in snow, ice and dry pavement. Better in snow and ice than the TA KOs they replaced.
Installed mine at the end of September when the local shop had a rebate on them. I've got close to 5000 miles on them and they have been great. Quieter than the previous TA KO. Had a chance to try them on some muddy due to snow melt a couple of weeks ago. I will say that I am happier with them in all conditions. My truck is a 2003 F-250 screw V10 4X4 265 75 R16
I have 315/75/16 KO2's on mine. New in Dec 15, I think. First snow (16") a couple of weeks ago, no issues whatsoever. I had KO's last set and no issues for 6 years with those either other than a tread separation on one tire from a big pothole in Philly.
Any idea what the expected mileage is out of them? I'll be happy if I get 50-55,000 out of these Duratracs. 6,500 on them so far, so far so good. I got 95,000 on the Firestone Transforce at's I had on before the duratracs. I couldn't stand those tires, worst set of tires that were ever on my truck.
Not sure but I do did learn that although a tire rotation is recommended for any vehicle ford is going to start stressing this in the superduty. The torque these trucks produce is eating tires up even without driving hard. Apparently talking to a ford rep the ram 3500 ho cummins is having the same issue. They are working in a cure hopefully the weight savings in the new truck may help.
