You've checked lower filter to confirm gelled filter? I've not had it happen but my understanding is once it starts gelling, it's almost impossible to fix with additives. I've not had to deal with this issue, so I can't help with that. Maybe someone with more experience will chime in on that. Do you have any guages to post data? FCIM main pwr, FCIM sync, ICP,fuel pressure, ipr.

If the truck was running and not missing a beat, then would not start after you got a cup of coffee I highly doubt it is gelled.
Are you running a winter blend or anti gel?
Sounds more like something electrical or a HPO leak to me.
As TT mentioned do you have a way to read live data?

Remove the upper fuel filter cap in the engine compartment, Key ON, and see if the bowl fills. Side Note: Do not use 911.

I recently had a similar issue and it was the hpop. If you find that fuel is not the problem you could take a look at icp / ipr values. You nedds 500 or better while cranking for her to fire up.

Oring/plugs/hpop are all potential problem areas if your pressure us low...

X2. If the upper bowl fills in a couple seconds, the lower isn't waxed up. If the upper fills up and the lower isn't visibly covered in wax/crystals, fuel pressure is likely not the problem because the truck WILL run with low pressure. It's bad for the injectors and it can lack power, but reduced FP alone isn't going to cause a no-start, it would take little to no FP to cause it.

Agreed. If you absolute HAVE to, follow the directions:

Mix the 911 correctly 50/50% with fresh diesel and (if you don't carry spares) soak your filters with the 50/50 mix. Don't assume the fuel in the tank is gelled and just dump it into the tank; clear both filters, then check for fuel flow, THEN if the tank or lines have a problem start adding it to the tank until it clears. The wax crystals build up in the filters before the entire tank is gelled up requiring the full dose of additive, and the 911 stuff is hard on the fuel system if it gets overconcentrated.
