2001 Ranger shift indicator problems
After taking apart my instrument panel to change the bulbs, I went to reconnect everything, but now the gear shift indicator isn't working. I can change gears fine, and everything else on the instrument panel works just fine.
The copper cable that connects to the shifter doesn't move when the shifter does.
Is there a way to fix this problem, or do I need to find a replacement cable?

I ended up being able to fix later that day. I took it all back apart and found there is a white plastic piece that attaches to the indicator and the instrument cluster that came detached. I put it back in and everything works great again.
