Dang it man- you one-upped me! I thought my post was a trump card on this one..
I concede your win on the logic battle: but I must say that I don't think I could handle driving something quite so noisy and stinky as a diesel. My V10 is stinky enough with the cats hollowed out.
Please let's not get into a deep debate on diesel vs V10, but in keeping to my original post: does a diesel Econoline lift the nose pretty good? "Pitch"
