Today, I tackled the 2011+ front bumper install without making ANY mods to correct any gaps because I'm slowly doing the 2011+ front conversion. Yes, the bumper looks good far away and you can still use your tow hooks. I tried to get the bumper adjusted as much as possible and it still left a 2 inch gap under the headlights and the bumper was butted against the grille. It was a easy switch and believe it could be slightly modded to look better.

I'm actually going to do the 2011+ front conversion with a new grille, headlights, fenders, hood and other parts needed to complete the swap like this.
I did the same mod and mine sits about 1/2" from the bottom of the lights and grille. I drilled out new mounting holes in the bumper supports lower than the existing holes. So when I mounted it with the new holes it sat higher and didn't have that "gap" look.
