Good Evening All,
Haven't been on here in quite some time and just wanted to say hi. Lost my job in the oilfield back in September so I've actually been selling vehicles at my local Ford dealer until oil turns around. My neighbor is the GM and part owner so I couldn't pass up the job offer when he gave it to me. I've been learning a lot about all the various makes and models and have driven almost all of them so it's been fun. For some reason I've been the top sales guy for SuperDuty's, haha, I guess it's easy to sell what you like!!
My truck is still running great but sadly I had to get a complete new front end 2 weeks ago (under warranty). 52,000km on the clock and it all of a sudden got REALLY bouncy when I'd hit the right spacing of bumps on the highway. I took it in to the mechanics one day while I was at work and it ended up needing a new steering dampner, ball joints and tie rods. I wasn't too impressed that it was shot already but at least it was replaced with no questions asked.
Other than that I hope everyone is staying busy and putting on the miles. Cheers
Now that we can ship oil hopefully Shale production will ramp up again. it killed all the service companies supporting the Eagleford here in Texas. I'm hearing things are getting a little better. I know prices still continue to fall, but that's because of the terrorists at OPEC.
Sorry to hear about your job loss (although I'm enjoying low-priced fuel). I think your front end problems are probably a fluke, because many of us here have run way beyond that distance without issue.
