Tie Rod replacement again !!

Had my outer tie Rod done about a year ago. Bought it from Napa Went to get an alignment today and the shop sent me a video of the same outer tie Rod loose again at the knuckle. What gives.
I called napa and they said it would be replaced if I have the receipt. The part isnt even rusted yet. I called ford and ordered one from Ford
Anyone ever have this happen ? Napa part was $60. Ford is $180

Probably faulty part. Will they warranty it?

I called them and they stated they need a receipt. I'm going in with it and asking for credit. I don't want a new one from them. I'm getting a ford one tomorrow

But 3K? Unless it wasn't greased when he installed it, no way it should have failed that fast..

It was greased at install. Wasn't touched again because it hasn't even been a year.

It's not like I plowed non stop with the truck either. Used lightly. I'm going back with it to Napa to see if they can help

Same thing happened to me. Same truck, same year, NAPA part. Was replaced under part warranty but not labor. Mine was 7000 miles. I hate NAPA parts

Since it happen to two trucks here, I'm thinking it is a defect from NAPA's China supplier.

I have a few friends that only use Napa parts, mostly because of having an account, and they have all been going through ball joints and tie rods like crazy. My 08 Ford tie rods have 105k miles and just now need replacing and I plow, haul and tow with the truck Can't complain about that

I have gone through and replaced ball joints and complete steering on a couple trucks recently. Use MOOG greasable stuff! I get everything from rockauto. All USA made. No reason not to grease everything at every oil change. I also smear a bit of grease on the boot. I bet the NAPA stuff comes from china with the ball already corroded.

didn't think moog made stuff in the USA anymore. Did you buy their high-end version of the parts you replaced and it said M I T USA on the box?
