Yeah Jimbo, but you sure would be surprised when you tried switching mirrors!
I had to replace my '06 door that got crunched. I found a '98 that looked like it would work. Boy was I wrong, holes didnt line up at all. I jerry rigged with washers and threaded rod, drilling new wholes thru double wall metal, etc.
I'm sure you get the point.
I'd recommend waiting until you find the right door.
The way I'm reading his post is that he was looking to install the complete door assemblies. But I understand what you're referring to with the mirrors, which is a good point to note as well.
Doors accommodating the most variety of E-Series mirrors including the OEM extendable arm towing variety began appearing model year 2003.
It should be noted the newer mirrors can be retrofitted to older doors without issues of factory glass fitting properly---the mounting area remains much the same however the number and location of mounting studs and flanged washer fasteners changes somewhat significantly. Some of us have modified older doors so the newer mirrors can be mounted but the results weren't all that satisfying---I'd just swap doors if this sort of thing was ever needed in the future.
