Doing a timing chain. Is the Balancer bolt a TTY? Should it be replaced? I heard some replace it & some don't. Does anyone have a part# for it, 97 ranger 4.0.
I don not think its a TTY. When I had my timing chain replaced there was no call for one at the shop, plus I have reused all over the years in various vehicles. Look at autozone.com for a new one or even check their help articles or repair manuals
