so recently I took my dash out to replace the bulbs, when I put it all back together the speedo needle is pointing at the odometer, what would be the best way to fix this?
There is a coil spring on that needle. You may be able to tear it apart and wind it back around if it is not broke, but my guess is it is busted and you need a new speedo.
I should mention that when I took it for a drive today that the speedo works but instead of stopping at zero the speedo goes all the way down and points at the odometer, what would be the cause of this?
just a guess; there may have been a stop in the dial to keep the needle at 0 - see if there is a small hole in your dial there. If so and you have lost the pin, you can probably make a replacement from the correct diameter sewing needle (nice and shiny chrome looking.)
thanks for responding I actually figured out what was wrong apparently when I took the lens out o bumped the needle so it was pointing down instead of zero, so I just moved the needle to the correct spot.
