My F-2000 to F-2015 Build
#483
I already reworked my rear wiring harness earlier in the build with all new taillight connectors, bulbs soldered and shrink wrapped everything.I dressed the cables through the frame and used dialect grease in the connectors. Also Installed the taillights. I put the tailgate on and its latched but before I can align it I found I’m missing a bushing. I have the correct hinge on the bed as the new bed came with them.
Here is what I bought on Ebay last night so hopefully I bought the correct bushings it says for both sides but I just need the passenger side.

Thanks!! Yeah it's been a long road and it's going in doors from November till spring. I may not be able to have it painted till then.

I know, it's going to be tough LOL. At least I get to drive it from the Pole barn which is 10 minutes away to home on and off as I have more parts at the house so I work on it at both places as long as the weather is good. I have no door seals on it between the doors so it's not totally water proof till it's painted. I'm putting only the minimum on so it can be dismantled in about 45 minutes for paint.

I got the tailgate bushing I ordered and aligned the tailgate. Also installed the rear inner wheel wells. Installed and cut the new fuel hoses and installed the gas filler tube. I did have to drill one hole in the filler tube mounting flange for the position I needed for the best angle. Took it to the gas station, hit the filler at full throttle and no leaks!!
Started removing the drivers door. For doors as heavy as these even though I may never use it again, the door cradle was priceless!!!
Door off.
New door on

looks great, it's been amazing watching this you definitely have put a lot of thought into it and of course did a lot of fab work but it should be solid as a rock. I'm sure you could do this conversions for a living after you do yours, of course you wouldnt be able to park in your garage for the next five years if you took on a bunch of conversion work...lol

Thank you!!! It is solid as a rock and I'm very very happy with it!!! I don't think my wife could handle any more conversions LOL..

I put the frontend back on today and now I can see where I have to modify my bumper brackets to make the hooks work but that may be in the spring. My painter is way over booked and he stops at the end of October and goes south for the winter so I'm going to try find another painter if the price is rite but if not then I think I have a pole barn to store it in for the winter, then have it painted in the spring.
