Water seperator

I believe after reading done horror stories about new diesels and warranty issues I am going to invest in a good aftermarket separator. Anyone have any experience with these and if so any recommendations? Thanks

No experience but might be able to use a marine unit that might be found at a lesser cost

Had an issue and while mine turned out to be a sensor the horror stories I have read about the newer diesels and ford saying sorry no warranty( which I get) opened my eyes to this issue!!

Makes one wonder if they have an issue with water in the fuel why doesn't the truck have a fuel water separator on it when it's built?

Well it does, under the drivers cab. If it collects enough water the light will come on and power down the truck. This happened to me however mine was a bad sensor. There are stories of guys who actually had water damage and ford not covering which I get but very costly. Now I know we only hear one side of the story on here but still for some added low cost protection may be worth it
