After starting my truck, I can hear sounds a little off. I do run a chip, a edge with juice. Only have the chip to monitor my engine & it works great. It shows me the code that the number five glow plug has Circuit malfunctioned. After a few minutes and restarting the vehicle it goes away, is this a problem for the future or should I have it looked at now?
easier to fix when it's only one problem. when it becomes "a bunch of codes are set and the engine doesn't run", it becomes much harder get it back in running shape.
like the graffiti/broken window policy some cities have.
I had a #7 code. It was a bad glowplug. I removed the right front inner fender to access mine. The harness broke trying to remove it from the plug but I had a new one ready. I found Motorcraft glowplugs at Orileys for under $ 10 each so I replaced all 4 on the right bank.
