08 F350 king ranch intermittent heat in cab
It is the strangest issue. Once the engine warms up and I turn on the heat it blows warm air for about 30 seconds. Then turns cold. I get not heat at idle. If I am running on the highway I will get heat for a few minutes before it turns cold.
I have checked the coolant level and its fine.
It's the computer controlled digital temp and not the analog dials.
Any thoughts?

Blend door motors. Look up on YouTube for some videos? I just did mine on a 2008 king ranch f350 and they are a pain in the a__. I have taken some pictures but have not got around to writing up a thread up on the forum.
I found the you tube videos pretty helpful but I feel like there must have been a change as mine is an early built 08 in June of 2007. They claimed passenger side motor was on bottom and driver side motor was on top and that is not how mine I set up. Mine was exact opposite and I found that my passenger side motor was in a different spot than what was shown in the video. I feel like I looked at several videos and articles and found them all backwards. I never did look in my factory Ford service manual. They can be changed with the dash still in pickup, pulling out center bezel, radio and the passenger side air bag and moving air ducts out of the way but it is a miserable job. I had 5-6 hours into the one on top of heater assembly and 2 on the bottom one.
The factory ford scan tool can check the operation of these and tell which one is bad. There about 35 bucks each and I figured if one failed the other is not far behind so I did both even though only the passenger side had failed.
