Overhead DVD player screen

The overhead screen to the DVD player in my 2003 Excursion was getting lines across it until I adjusted the screen and now the screen is very dark. Does anyone know a repair service or DIY fix I (or my husband, I'd you must get technical) can do. With a three and six year old the DVD player is pretty important. Thanks.

There are aftermarket screens that people on the forum have used that fit in the factory housing. Any reputable car stereo shop should be able to get one installed for ya. Your lucky to have DVD player that still functions. Personally I think the screen is a bit small. Have plans to change the whole thing out in the future.

I'd be interested in learning about that, too. I'm sure my days are numbered with the whole thing.
