I'm sure glad I only have to go there when it's NOT like that! I've seen the leaves turning, but nothing white like that!

MO-100 from Gray Summit to Wildwood is SPECTACULAR when the trees are golden!

Thanks for the reps, Sean, got hit twice by your fine confederates!

Looks like mostly rats and roaches will be homeless. Given the situation with that property, they should have let it burn....

The only problem with that is that more-wanted things tend to catch fire if no suppression happens.

I haven't driven by there yet to see, but it sure looks like it was a MULTI-alarm event!

Thanks for the GREAT (as usual) photos, Trey!

A lot of it is because of what's known as all the different 7 or 8 "boutique blends" that are required in California. That, and limited refinery capacity. You want low prices, look at Oklahoma. Regulations are a big part of the cost too, everyone loves to hate Ethanol (I avoid it) but forget the fact there isn't really a practical alternative for the oxygenate part anyway. MTBE used to be the oxygenate till it was found to be polluting groundwater. Then there's taxes. State, local, and federal. The uninformed think the gas stations are making a mint and curse them when they raise the price. The truth is they make more money on chips and soda.

It was almost definitely an arson. I heard reports that there were multiple start locations.
