So, I have a 2007 f250 with the 6.0.
When she's cold she starts fine but runs rough like she has a miss. When she warms up the miss goes away and it runs pretty good. But if I shut it off it won't start for about an hour or so.
ICP sensor has been replaced.
FICM is putting out 50v
It's been a long while since I've had a 6.0. Are you throwing any codes? I will assume the engine cranks but does not fire. What kind of pressure is your HPOP pushing to the injectors? I am by no means a certified mechanic, but I had some similar symptoms with an '04. Also, what oil are you running?
The first issue, cold rough running, is prolly a stiction issue. Try some of the oil treatments on the market. There are several that are popular here. Archoil and Hot Shot's being some of the more popular.
The second issue is prolly either your dummy plugs or your STC fitting at the HPOP going bad. You need to get some way of checking oil pressures during cranking and running to help diagnose your issue. There are some programs available at the google app store if you have an android phone and then get a bluetooth OBDII dongle.
Sounds good. I'll do that. Unfortunately it has to sit now for about 6 months while I'm on deployment. But I took a screen shot of your advice and will do that as soon as I get back.
Its probably the internal oil pressure line that supplies pressure to operate the injectors. Once the oil thins due to normal running oil pressure drops a bit.
Well...I just bought a program for my laptop for the obd2 so I can truly test all the systems. So when I get back from deployment I'll post my findings...if any.
But please keep giving me things to check because I'm writing them down as a check list for when I get home.
But from my personal experience, the way that website (totalcardiagnostics.com/toad) looks, it screams "ripoff" to me. It might not be, but that's just the way a zillion web sites look for "this pill will fix your problem" or "this method will make you rich". Even their pricing says so, the <s>$899</s> <s>$499</s> $397 and now for a "limited time" $97. For the features they claim, that is crazy cheap, like reselling pirated software cheap.
