reduced vehicle count added explorer 2016

Today we traded in our 2011 mustang and our leased 2015 explorer xlt on a 2016 explorer xlt. Hated to see the mustang go. We bought it new in 2010 and it had 33000 miles on it at trade in. But we won't miss the payments.
I have noticed some improvements on the new explorer.
Wife gets the explorer. I am relegated to the 69 f100 and the Harley ultra limited.

We discovered a negative today, albeit minor. No power point in the center console. It does have the usb port. Still has the power point in the forward storage of the center console, but not in the deep well between the seat backs.
Do like the added feature of a display indicating tire pressure for all four tires.
Seeking a software storage area cover that can easily be folded up when third row seating is in use.

I think that you'd have to get the Limited or the Sport models to get the additional power points and the 110v outlet.

My only "complaint" is the small size of the fuel tank. I'm used to the 44 gallons of fuel that I can carry in the Excursion...this little 16 gallons or so is annoying!!

Getting 20mpg vs the 18mpg of the Excursion is great, but the over all travel distance is less than half that of the Excursion. 300 miles vs 650-700 miles.

we had the 110 outlet in an Escape we owned for a short while. Never really used it. Both of our Explorers were XLTs. The one we traded was simply loaded to the gills (only missing remote start and cooled seats from what I can tell).
A 300 or so mile cruise range is not an issue for us. Lord knows when we are on the high way, we will pull over before then.
I discovered the paddle shifts last night. Like those better than the shifter button on the side of the shift lever. Wife swears this vehicles is a lot peppier than the 2015. I will say it did not seem to pull as bad when stepping on it in sport/manual shift mode. This one tracks truer on a hard start.
